This Winchester manufactured third variation (trigger) guard assembly is for the model 12 slide action shotgun which does not have the cartridge guide attached to the carrier and is in very good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with honest wear and possibly some original blue finish in protected areas. Third variation trigger guard assemblies differ from their predecessors in that it will have a late variation hammer and a late variation action slide lock assembly but the first three variations should each be interchangeable with each other. photo)
